Pitt River Basket #5
This wonderful Pit River basket from Northern California highlights the redbud and bear grass design features the tribe is known for.
The stacked rectangles create a nice sense of movement. It’s in good shape considering it was woven from 1910-1940 sometime. Rim has a crack which you can see in the pictures.
